     Maj.-Gen. Charles Harvey Miller was born on 11 September 1894. He was the son of Robert Miller. He married Hon. Bridget Violet Douglas-Pennant, daughter of Lt.-Col. Frank Douglas-Pennant, 5th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai and Maud Eleonora Hardy, on 15 November 1923.1 He died on 23 December 1974 at age 80.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Armoured Corps.1 He was Chief Staff to HRH the Duke of Gloucester between 1946 and 1947 at Australia.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1

     She served in the Naval Voluntary Aid Detachment during the Second World War.1

     Colonel Malcolm Frank Douglas-Pennant, 6th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai was born on 11 July 1908. He is the son of Lt.-Col. Frank Douglas-Pennant, 5th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai and Alice Nellie Cooper. He married Elizabeth Rosemary Laurie, daughter of Brigadier Sir Percy Robert Laurie and Ethel Frances Lawson Johnston, on 9 June 1954.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai, co. Carnavon [U.K., 1866] on 3 February 1967.2 He lived at Littleton Manor, Littleton, Hampshire, England.1 He lived at Edgedell Cottage, Chilland Lane, Martyr Worthy, Hampshire, England.1

     Elizabeth Rosemary Laurie was the daughter of Brigadier Sir Percy Robert Laurie and Ethel Frances Lawson Johnston. She married Colonel Malcolm Frank Douglas-Pennant, 6th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai, son of Lt.-Col. Frank Douglas-Pennant, 5th Baron Penrhyn of Llandegai and Alice Nellie Cooper, on 9 June 1954.1 She died before December 2002.1
      From 9 June 1954, her married name became Douglas-Pennant.1 She was invested as a Officer, Order of St John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.).1 As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Rosemary Laurie was styled as Baroness Penrhyn of Llandegai on 3 February 1967.2
