Sophia Strutt.2 He married Evelyn Brooks Knowles, daughter of Robert Millington Knowles and Hon. Alice Crawshaw, on 11 May 1899. He died on 17 November 1953 at age 82.
     Brig.-Gen. Sir Edward Thomas Le Marchant, 4th Bt. was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He gained the title of 4th Baronet Le Marchant.
