     Major Charles Comyn Scott Scott-Gatty was the son of Sir Alfred Scott-Gatty.¹ He married Cicely Muriel Gathorne-Hardy, daughter of Colonel Hon. Charles Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy and Lady Cicely Louisa Nevill, on 7 July 1904.¹ He died on 24 July 1916.¹

     Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy was born on 27 February 1845.¹ He was the son of Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy, 1st Earl of Cranbrook and Jane Orr.¹ He married Isabella Louisa Malcolm, daughter of John Malcolm, 14th of Poltalloch and Isabella Harriet Wingfield, on 3 August 1875.¹ He died on 11 November 1918 at age 73.¹

Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practice as a barrister.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Canterbury between 1878 and 1880.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Grinstead between 1886 and 1895.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the County of London.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Kent.¹ He held the office of Commissioner of Railways and Canals in 1905.¹

     Isabella Louisa Malcolm was the daughter of John Malcolm, 14th of Poltalloch and Isabella Harriet Wingfield.^1,2 She married Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy, son of Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy, 1st Earl of Cranbrook and Jane Orr, on 3 August 1875.¹ She died on 17 August 1924.¹
     From 3 August 1875, her married name became Gathorne-Hardy.¹

     Kathleen Eleanor Goschen is the daughter of Henry Goschen.¹ She married Geoffrey Malcolm Gathorne-Hardy, son of Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy and Isabella Louisa Malcolm, on 12 March 1914.¹
     From 12 March 1914, her married name became Gathorne-Hardy.¹

     Alfred Cecil Gathorne-Hardy was born on 26 March 1881.¹ He was the son of Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy and Isabella Louisa Malcolm.¹ He died between 25 September 1915 and 26 September 1915, killed in action.¹
     Alfred Cecil Gathorne-Hardy graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the service of the 9th Service Battalion, Cameronian Scottish Rifles.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Isabel Edith Gathorne-Hardy was born on 7 August 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy and Isabella Louisa Malcolm.¹ She married Lionel Portman, son of Reverend Hon. Walter Berkeley Portman, on 24 October 1905.¹ She died on 4 February 1959 at age 82, without issue.¹
     From 24 October 1905, her married name became Portman.¹

     Lionel Portman was the son of Reverend Hon. Walter Berkeley Portman.¹ He married Isabel Edith Gathorne-Hardy, daughter of Hon. Alfred Erskine Gathorne-Hardy and Isabella Louisa Malcolm, on 24 October 1905.¹ He died on 12 October 1940.¹

     Lady Edith Elizabeth Gathorne-Hardy was the daughter of Gathorne Gathorne-Hardy, 1st Earl of Cranbrook and Jane Orr.¹ She married Sir Henry John Lowndes Graham on 15 June 1869.¹ She died on 8 January 1975.¹
     From 15 June 1869, her married name became Graham.¹
