Richard Francis Wellesley, 6th Earl Cowley was born on 12 June 1946.1 He was the son of Denis Arthur Wellesley, 5th Earl Cowley and Elizabeth Anne Papillon.1 He married Maria Della Buenaño, daughter of Enrique Buenaño, in 1971.1 He died on 13 December 1975 at age 29, while playing squash.2

O'Hara.1 She married, secondly, Lieutenant Arthur Simmonds.1 She married, thirdly, Denis Arthur Wellesley, 5th Earl Cowley, son of Christian Arthur Wellesley, 4th Earl Cowley and Mae Pickard, on 11 July 1950.1 She died on 29 October 1959, as the result of a motor accident.1
