     Major Hugo Edward Anson was born on 1 June 1908.1 He was the son of Hon. Claud Anson and Lady Clodagh Beresford.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Campbell, daughter of Captain Sir Harold George Campbell and Violet Albinia Lucy Stephens, on 24 June 1935.1 He and Elizabeth Campbell were divorced in 1946.1 He married, secondly, Anninia Silj, daughter of Marchese unknown Sili, on 8 June 1946.1 He died on 24 October 1991 at age 83.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Rifle Brigade.1
