     Ruth Kynaston Mainwaring was born on 25 February 1910. She was the daughter of Major Charles Francis Kynaston Mainwaring and Mary Sybil Rankin. She married Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Bingham Lowther, 4th Bt., son of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham, on 3 November 1936.1 She died on 28 February 1995 at age 85.1
     From 3 November 1936, her married name became Lowther.1

Colonel Sir Watkin Randle Kynaston Mainwaring

     Colonel Sir Watkin Randle Kynaston Mainwaring was born on 22 August 1875. He was the son of Salusbury Kynaston Mainwaring and Edith Sarah Williams. He married Violet Frances de Rutzen, daughter of Sir Albert de Rutzen, on 25 April 1903. He died in 1944.
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 29th (Denbighshire) Company, 9th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Denbighshire Yeomanry Hussars.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1

     Sir James Rankin, 1st Bt. was born on 26 December 1842 at Liverpool, Lancashire, England.1,2 He was the son of Robert Rankin and Ann Strang.3 He married Annie Laura Bushell, daughter of Christopher Bushell and Margaret Easton, on 12 January 1865.1 He died on 17 April 1915 at age 72.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Herefordshire Rifle Volunteers.1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1873.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Leominster between 1880 and 1885.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Herefordshire between 1886 and 1906.1 He was created 1st Baronet Rankin, of Bryngwyn, co. Hereford [U.K.] on 20 June 1898.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for North Herefordshire between 1910 and 1912.1
