     Lt.-Col. William Edward Harry Lawson, 5th Baron Burnham was born on 22 October 1920.1 He was the son of Edward Frederick Lawson, 4th Baron Burnham and Marie Enid Robson.1 He married Anne Petherick, daughter of Major George Gerald Petherick and Lady Jeane Pleydell-Bouverie, on 27 June 1942.1 He died in 1993.1
     Lt.-Col. William Edward Harry Lawson, 5th Baron Burnham was baptised with the name of William Edward Harry Levy-Lawson.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He fought in the Malayan Campaign between 1950 and 1951, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Burnham, of Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, co. Bucks [U.K., 1903] on 4 July 1963.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Levy-Lawson, of Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, co. Bucks [U.K., 1892] on 4 July 1963.1 He retired from the military in 1968, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Scots Guards.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Buckinghamshire in 1970.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Buckinghamshire in 1977.1

     Hugh John Frederick Lawson, 6th Baron Burnham was born on 15 August 1931.1 He was the son of Edward Frederick Lawson, 4th Baron Burnham and Marie Enid Robson. He married Hilary Margaret Hunter, daughter of Alan Hunter, on 31 December 1955.1 He died on 1 January 2005 at age 73.2
     Hugh John Frederick Lawson, 6th Baron Burnham was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He was with the Daily Telegraph (deputy managing director 1984–86) between 1955 and 1986.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Burnham, of Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, co. Bucks [U.K., 1903] in 1993.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Levy-Lawson, of Hall Barn, Beaconsfield, co. Bucks [U.K., 1892] in 1993.1 He held the office of Deputy Chief Whip (Conservative) of the House of Lords between 1997 and 2001.1 He held the office of Elected Member of the House of Lords in 1999.1 He lived in 2003 at Woodlands Farm, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England.1
