     Brig.-Gen. John Hotham married Rose Florence Ward, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Bernard Matthew Ward and Emily Maria La Touche, on 10 December 1889.1 He died on 16 November 1932.1
     Brig.-Gen. John Hotham was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the service of the Royal Artillery.1
