     Laura Maberly was born in 1850 at Lewisham, Kent, England.2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Evan Maberly and Laura Charlotte Smith.1 She married Lt.-Gen. Hon. Bernard Matthew Ward, son of Edward Southwell Ward, 3rd Viscount Bangor and Harriet Margaret Maxwell, on 11 February 1873.1 She died on 12 February 1928.1
     From 11 February 1873, her married name became Ward.1
