Sir William Hepburn McAlpine, 6th Bt. was born on 12 January 1936.2 He was the son of Robert Edwin McAlpine, Baron McAlpine of Moffat and Ella Mary Gardner Garnett.1,3 He married Jill Benton Jones, daughter of Sir Peter Fawcett Benton Jones, 3rd Bt. and Nancy Pickering, on 5 October 1959.1 He died on 4 March 2018 at age 82.4
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet McAlpine, of Knott Park, Surrey [U.K., 1918] in 1990.2

     Sir Peter Fawcett Benton Jones, 3rd Bt. was born on 9 January 1911.2 He was the son of Sir Walter Benton Jones, 2nd Bt. and Lily Marguerite Fawcett.3 He married Nancy Pickering, daughter of Warley Pickering and Annette Beryl Kemp-Welch, on 1 February 1936.2 He died on 11 November 1972 at age 61 at Irnham, Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.2,4
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1932 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Artillery.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1950 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Jones, of Treeton, West Riding, co. York [U.K., 1919] on 5 December 1967.3
