     Lt.-Col. Caledon Charles Brownlow was born on 20 November 1843.1 He was the son of Henry Benjamin Brownlow and Sarah Smith.1 He married Rosalie Munn, daughter of Reverend J. R. Munn, in 1888.1 He died on 9 March 1925 at age 81, without issue.1
     He fought in the North-West Frontier.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Staff Corps.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900.1
