     Dermot O'Brien, 5th Baron of Inchiquin was born circa November 1594.2 He was the son of Murrough O'Brien, 4th Baron of Inchiquin and Mabel Nugent. He married Ellen FitzGerald, daughter of Sir Edmond Fitz-Edmund FitzGerald and Honora FitzGerald, before 1614.2 He died on 2 December 1624.
