     Agnes von Thuringe was the daughter of Hermann I Landgraf von Thuringe and Sophie von Sommerschenburg.1 She married, firstly, Heinrich Herzog von Österreich, son of Leopold VI Herzog von Österreich and Theodora of Constantinople, in 1225.1 She married, secondly, Albrecht I Herzog von Sachsen, son of Bernard III Kurfürst von Sachsen and Brigitte (?), after 1228.1 She died in 1261.1

     Hermann I Landgraf von Thuringe was the son of Ludwig II Landgraf von Thuringe and Jutta Hohenstaufen.2 He married Sophie von Sommerschenburg, daughter of Friedrich Pfalzgraf von Sommerschenburg and Luitgarde von Stade, circa 1182. He died on 25 April 1217.
     He gained the title of Landgraf von Thuringe.1

     Albrecht I Herzog von Sachsen was born circa 1175.2 He was the son of Bernard III Kurfürst von Sachsen and Brigitte (?).2 He married Agnes von Österreich, daughter of Leopold VI Herzog von Österreich and Theodora of Constantinople, in 1222.1 He married Agnes von Thuringe, daughter of Hermann I Landgraf von Thuringe and Sophie von Sommerschenburg, after 1228.1 He married, secondly, Helene von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, daughter of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg, between 1247 and 1248. He died on 8 November 1261.
      Albrecht I Herzog von Sachsen also went by the nick-name of Albrecht 'the Courageous'. He gained the title of Herzog von Sachsen.3
