     John George Alexander Leishman, Jr. was born on 16 January 1887 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A..1 He was the son of John George Alexander Leishman and Julia Crawford.1 He was baptised on 1 April 1888 at St. Stephen Episcopal Church, Sewickley, Pennsylvania, U.S.A..1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Hélène Gardner Demarest, daughter of Warren Gardner Demarest and Elizabeth Charlotte Applegate, on 18 September 1911 at The Episcopal Church, Cadenabbia, Lake Como, Italy.1 He and Elizabeth Hélène Gardner Demarest were divorced in 1917.1 He married, secondly, Anna Pauline Verelpen after 1924.1 He died on 2 January 1942 at age 54 at Paris, France.1
     John George Alexander Leishman, Jr. also went by the nick-name of Jack.1 He adopted Jacqueline Boucard. On 14 July 1902 he almost drowned while swimming in the Bosphorus, but was rescued by Sir Walter George Windham.1
