     Matilda Persse was born after 1793 at County Galway, Ireland.2 She was the daughter of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir.1,2 She married Burton Persse, son of Burton Persse and Sarah Pennefather, on 4 November 1825 at Tuam, County Galway, Ireland.2 She died on 23 June 1862.2
     Matilda Persse also went by the nick-name of Mattie.2
