     Henry Stratford Persse was born circa 1769 at Roxborough House, County Galway, Ireland.1 He was the son of William Persse and Sarah Blakeney.1 He married Anne Sadleir, daughter of Henry Sadleir and Martha Moore, on 29 November 1792 at Ireland.1 He died on 26 October 1833 at Newcastle Lodge, County Galway, Ireland.1
      He founded a distillery.2
