     Cyril Reginald Egerton was born on 7 September 1905. He was the son of Major Hon. Francis William George Egerton and Hilda Margaret Curteis. He married, firstly, Mary Campbell, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Ronald Hugh Campbell, on 8 December 1934. He married, secondly, Mary Truda Lea, daughter of Sir Thomas Sydney Lea, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ophelia Woodward, on 29 January 1954. He died circa June 1992.2

     Mary Campbell was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Ronald Hugh Campbell. She married Cyril Reginald Egerton, son of Major Hon. Francis William George Egerton and Hilda Margaret Curteis, on 8 December 1934. She died on 23 September 1949.
      Her married name became Egerton.

     Francis Ronald Egerton, 7th Duke of Sutherland was born on 18 February 1940. He is the son of Cyril Reginald Egerton and Mary Campbell. He married Victoria Mary Williams, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Edward Alexander Wilmot Williams, on 11 May 1974.1
     He succeeded to the title of 7th Duke of Sutherland in 2000.
