     Sir Hugh FitzGerald Arbuthnot, 7th Bt. was born on 2 January 1922.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 5th Bt. and Alice Maud Arbuthnot.1,2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Kathleen Williams, daughter of S/Ldr. George Gilbert Algernon Williams and Kathleen Mary Ansell, on 17 August 1949.1 He married, secondly, Julia Grace Peake, daughter of Lt.-Col. Frederick Gerald Peake and Elspeth MacLean Ritchie, in 1977.1 He died on 3 July 1983 at age 61.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Welsh Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Arbuthnot, of Edinburgh [U.K., 1823] on 30 June 1944.1 He was Master of Foxhounds, Ludlow between 1948 and 1952.1 He was Master of Foxhounds, Cotswold between 1952 and 1964.1 He was Master of Foxhounds, Duke of Buccleuch's between 1964 and 1983.1

Brig.-Gen. Sir Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 5th Bt.1

     Brig.-Gen. Sir Dalrymple Arbuthnot, 5th Bt. was born on 1 April 1867.1 He was the son of Major Sir William Wedderburn Arbuthnot, 3rd Bt. and Alice Margaret Tompson.1 He married Alice Maud Arbuthnot, daughter of Hugh Lyttleton Arbuthnot and Elizabeth Fountaine Walker, on 15 January 1918.2 He died on 31 March 1941 at age 73.1
     He fought in the Chitral Campaign in 1895.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches eight times.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1915.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1 He was commander of the 12th Corps in 1916.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Arbuthnot, of Edinburgh [U.K., 1823] on 31 May 1916.1 He gained the rank of Honoary Brigadier-General in 1920.1

Sir Robert Keith Arbuthnot, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Robert Keith Arbuthnot, 2nd Bt. was born on 9 September 1801 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves.3 He married Anne FitzGerald, daughter of Field Marshal Sir John Forster FitzGerald and Charlotte Hazen, on 20 March 1828 at Bombay, India.3,2 He died on 4 March 1873 at age 71 at Florence, Italy.1,2
     He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Arbuthnot, of Edinburgh [U.K., 1823] on 18 September 1829.3 He was in the Bombay Civil Service.2

     Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. was born on 24 December 1766.1 He was the son of Robert Arbuthnot, 2nd of Haddo-Rattray and Mary Urquhart.1 He married Anne Alves, daughter of John Alves and Helen Baillie, on 13 September 1800.1 He died on 18 September 1829 at age 62 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3,2
     He held the office of Lord Provost of Edinburgh from 1822 to 1823.1 He was created 1st Baronet Arbuthnot, of Edinburgh [U.K.] on 3 April 1823, He had held a banquet for the King, who supposedly enjoyed it so much that he awarded William a baronetcy rather than the traditional knighthood for the Lord Provost.1,2 He held the office of Secretary to the Board of Trustees for Manufactures.1

     Robert Arbuthnot, 2nd of Haddo-Rattray was baptised on 24 October 1728.3 He was the son of Robert Arbuthnot, 1st of Haddo-Rattray and Mary Petrie.3 He married Mary Urquhart, daughter of John Urquhart of Craigstone and Cromarty and Jane Urquhart, in 1759.1,3 He died on 5 November 1803 at age 75.3
     He lived at Haddo, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1

     Mary Urquhart was born in 1745.2 She was the daughter of John Urquhart of Craigstone and Cromarty and Jane Urquhart.1,2 She married Robert Arbuthnot, 2nd of Haddo-Rattray, son of Robert Arbuthnot, 1st of Haddo-Rattray and Mary Petrie, in 1759.1,2 She died in 1818.2
      From 1759, her married name became Arbuthnot.1

     John Urquhart of Craigstone and Cromarty was born in 1696.3 He was the son of James Urquhart of Knockleith.4 He married Jane Urquhart, daughter of William Urquhart of Meldrum and Mary Forbes, in 1737.4 He died in 1756.3
     He lived at Cromarty, Argyllshire, Scotland.1 He was Captain.4
