     He lived at Craigston, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1

     William Pollard-Urquhart of Castle Pollard was born on 19 June 1815 at Kinturk, Castlepollard, County Westmeath, Ireland.2 He was the son of William Dutton Pollard and Louisa Anne Pakenham.2 He married Mary Isabella Urquhart, daughter of William Urquhart of Craigston and Mary Fraser of Fraserfield, on 20 August 1846.1,2 He died on 1 June 1871 at age 55 at 19 Brunswick Terrace, Brighton, Sussex, England.2
     He was given the name of William Pollard at birth.2 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Westmeath in 1840.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westmeath between 1852 and 1857.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westmeath between 1859 and 1871.2
