     Colonel Henry Armytage was born on 29 October 1796.1 He was the son of Sir George Armytage, 4th Bt. and Mary Bowles.1 He married, firstly, Charlotte Le Gendre Starkie, daughter of Le Gendre Starkie, on 12 June 1819.1 He married, secondly, Frances Sarah Branding, daughter of Robert William Branding, on 26 August 1858.1 He died on 30 October 1861 at age 65.1
     Colonel Henry Armytage gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1
