     Reverend John Sigismund Arthur was born on 24 August 1894.1 He was the son of Sigismund Raynor Arthur and Constance Eleanor Hobhouse.1 He married Constance Amy Farquhar Sladen, daughter of Joseph Sladen, on 6 July 1925.1 He died on 16 December 1974 at age 80.1
