     Constance Amy Farquhar Sladen was the daughter of Joseph Sladen.¹ She married Reverend John Sigismund Arthur, son of Sigismund Raynor Arthur and Constance Eleanor Hobhouse, on 6 July 1925.¹ She died in 1980.¹

     Hon. Janet Stella Brain was born on 30 January 1931.² She is the daughter of Walter Russell Brain, 1st Baron Brain and Stella Langdon-Down.¹ She married Leonard John Henry Arthur, son of Reverend John Sigismund Arthur and Constance Amy Farquhar Sladen, on 27 February 1954.¹
     Hon. Janet Stella Brain was educated at Surbiton High School, Surbiton, Surrey, England.² She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).² From 27 February 1954, her married name became Arthur.¹ She lived in 2004 at Royal Oak Cottage, Church Broughton, Derbyshire, England.¹
