     James Roosevelt was born on 16 July 1828.1 He was the son of Isaac Roosevelt and Mary Rebecca Aspinwall. He married, secondly, Sara Delano, daughter of Warren Delano and Catherine Robbins Lyman, on 7 October 1880 at Algonac, New York, U.S.A.. He died in 1900.

     Charlotte Augusta Astor was born in 1858.1 She was the daughter of William Backhouse Astor, Jr. and Caroline Webster Schermerhorn.1 She married, firstly, James Coleman Drayton before 1891.1 She and James Coleman Drayton were divorced circa 1891.1 She married, secondly, George Ogilvy Haig, son of John Haig and Rachel Mackerras Veitch, on 17 December 1896.2 She died on 30 July 1920.2
     From before 1891, her married name became Drayton.1 From 17 December 1896, her married name became Haig.2
     She had four children by her first husband.1
