     Captain Hugh Carleton Charsley Tufnell was the son of Carleton Fowell Tufnell.1 He married Kathleen Margaret Aubrey-Fletcher, daughter of Sir Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 5th Bt. and Emily Harriet Wade, on 20 November 1916.1 He died on 6 July 1945.1
     Captain Hugh Carleton Charsley Tufnell gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Engineers.1
