     William Henry Lucas married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Barrow Nanfan Ashworth, daughter of Reverend Thomas Ramsden Ashworth and Elizabeth Dawson, circa 1851.2 He married, secondly, Alice Burrard, daughter of Admiral Sir Charles Burrard, 2nd Bt. and Louisa Lushington, in 1858.1

     Mary Elizabeth Barrow Nanfan Ashworth was also known as Mary Eliza Nanfan Barrow Ashworth.2 From circa 1851, her married name became Lucas.1
