Captain Geoffrey Vaux Salvin Bowlby was born on 1 December 1883.2 He was the son of Edward Salvin Bowlby and Elizabeth Vans Agnew.1 He married Hon. Lettice Annesley, daughter of Arthur Annesley, 11th Viscount Valentia and Laura Sarah Webb, on 18 October 1911.1 He died on 13 May 1915 at age 31, killed in action.1
