     Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. was born on 22 December 1741.1,2 He was the son of Alexander Bannerman and Margaret Burnett.1 He married Mary Gordon, daughter of James Gordon and Mary Buchan, in 1768.1 He died on 29 December 1813 at age 72.1
     Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. was baptised with the name of Alexander Bannerman.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 On 16 April 1777 his name was legally changed to Alexander Burnett.1 He was Professor of Medicine at University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 1 October 1796.1 On 1 October 1796 his name was legally changed to Alexander Bannerman.1 He lived at Kirkhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1

     Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 7th Bt. was born on 19 December 1769.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon.1 He married Rachel Irving, daughter of John Irving, on 15 November 1800.2 He died on 31 May 1840 at age 70 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, without issue.3 His will was probated in December 1840.3
     Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 7th Bt. succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 29 December 1813.3 He lived at Kirkhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.3

     Rachel Irving was born on 29 January 1779.1 She was the daughter of John Irving.1 She married Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 7th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon, on 15 November 1800.2 She died on 13 November 1847 at age 68.1
     From 15 November 1800, her married name became Bannerman.1

     Sir Charles Bannerman of Elsick, 8th Bt. was born on 18 August 1782.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon.1 He married Anne Bannerman, daughter of Charles Bannerman and Margaret Wilson, on 14 August 1821.1 He died on 18 June 1851 at age 68.1 His will was probated in August 1851.1
