     Anne Bannerman was the daughter of Charles Bannerman and Margaret Wilson.1 She married Sir Charles Bannerman of Elsick, 8th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon, on 14 August 1821.1 She died in 1838.1

     Sir Alexander Bannerman was born on 8 October 1788.2 He was the son of Thomas Bannerman and Jane Simpson.1,2 He married Margaret Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, on 14 January 1824.2 He died on 30 December 1864 at age 76, without issue.1
     Sir Alexander Bannerman held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeen between 1833 and 1847.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Prince Edward Island between 1851 and 1854.1 He held the office of Governor of the Bahamas between 1854 and 1857.1 He held the office of Governor of Newfoundland between 1857 and 1864.1

     Sir George Bannerman of Elsick, 10th Bt. was born on 4 June 1827 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Thomas Bannerman and Jane Hogarth.1 He married Anne Mary Brooke, daughter of Richard Brooke, on 5 October 1869.1 He died on 3 December 1901 at age 74.2
     Sir George Bannerman of Elsick, 10th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Engineers.1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 21 April 1877.1
