Sir Edward Bathurst, 1st Bt. was born circa 1603.1 He was the son of Robert Bathurst and Elizabeth Waller.1 He married, firstly, Anne Morris, daughter of Thomas Morris, before 1634.2 He married, secondly, Susan Rich, daughter of Thomas Rich, before 1654.2 He married, thirdly, Dorothy Nash.2 He died on 6 August 1674 at Lechlade, Gloucestershire, England.1
He distinguished himself in the Civil War, on the side of the King.1 He was invested as a Knight after 1643.1 He was created 1st Baronet Bathurst, of Lechlade, co. Gloucester and of Farrington, co. Oxford [England] on 15 December 1643.1
