Major William Borthwick of Johnstonburn was the son of Colonel William Borthwick, 5th of Soltray and Johnstonburn and Janet Lies.2 He married Marion Moorhead on 28 April 1665 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He died between 7 June 1687 and 28 June 1690.3
