     Sir George Stanley was born before 1530. He was the son of Sir James Stanley and Anne Hart.1
     Sir George Stanley held the office of Captain of the Isle of Man.1 He lived at Crosshall, Lancashire, England.1 Sir George Stanley also went by the nick-name of 'the Black Knight'.1 He held the office of Marshal of Ireland.1 He also had two sons who both died wiithout issue.2

     Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. was the son of Henry Stanley and Mary Stanley.1 He married, firstly, Catherine Mainwaring, daughter of Sir Randal Mainwaring.1 He married, secondly, Isabel Warburton, daughter of Sir Peter Warburton, after November 1613.1 He died circa April 1640.1 He was buried on 4 May 1640.1
     Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [England] on 26 June 1627.1 He lived at Bickerstaffe, Lancashire, England.1 He also had three daughters by his first wife, and six other sons by his second wife.1

     Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 22 October 1616.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Stanley, 1st Bt. and Isabel Warburton.1 He married Mary Egerton, daughter of Peter Egerton.1 He died in May 1653 at age 36.1
     Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [E., 1627] circa April 1640.1

     Sir Edward Stanley, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Stanley, 2nd Bt. and Mary Egerton.1 He married Elizabeth Bosvile, daughter of Thomas Bosvile, on 25 December 1663.1 He died on 16 October 1671.1
     Sir Edward Stanley, 3rd Bt. graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Stanley, of Bickerstaffe, co. Lancs [E., 1627] in May 1653.1
