     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 February 1923.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Birkmyre, 2nd Bt. and Doris Gertrude Smith.1 He married Gillian Mary Downes, daughter of Eric Mytton Downes, on 2 May 1953. He died on 7 May 2001 at age 78.1
     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 3rd Bt. was educated at Radley College, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War, in Burma.1 He was a member of the London Stock Exchange between 1954 and 1988.1 He was a partner of George Henderson & Company between 1966 and 1975.1 He was a partner of Henderson Crosthwaite Ltd between 1975 and 1988.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Birkmyre, of Dalmunzie, co. Perth [U.K., 1921] on 10 March 1992.1

Perth [U.K., 1921] on 24 June 1935.1

     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt. was born on 28 June 1875.1 He was the son of Henry Birkmyre.1 He married Anne Black, daughter of Captain James K. Black, on 8 December 1896. He died on 24 June 1935 at age 59.1
     Sir Archibald Birkmyre, 1st Bt. was a senior partner of Birkmyre Brothers at Calcutta, India.1 He held the office of Member of the Viceroy of India's Legislative Council.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.C.) [Bengal].1 He was invested as a Knight in 1917.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Birkmyre, of Dalmunzie, co. Perth [U.K., 1921] on 29 January 1921.1
