     Thomas Blake was the son of Valentine Blake and Eveline Lynch.1,2 He died on 20 January 1574.1 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 21 July 1576.2

     Valentine Blake was the son of John Blake and Juliana French.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Skerrett.2 He married, secondly, Eveline Lynch, daughter of Geoffrey Lynch.2 He died in 1499.1 His will (dated 12 July 1499) was probated on 26 July 1499.2
      Vadyn.3 He was mentioned in the will of his father, John Blake, written on 14 March 1468.4,2 He was the executor of the last will, dated 1488 of William Blake; recommending his son and daughters to his brother Valentine's care.2

     Captain James Blake was the son of Walter Blake and Juliana Browne.1 He married Margery Browne, daughter of Dominick Browne and Be Bhínn O'Flaherty.1 He died on 20 February 1635.1

     Dominick Browne was the son of William Browne and Anastasia Blake.2 He married Be Bhínn O'Flaherty, daughter of Sir Morogh O'Flaherty.3 He died in 1596.3
     He lived Barna and Carrabrowne.3 He lived at Galway, County Galway, Ireland.4 He held the office of Alderman.1 In 1541 freedom Galway , Mayor Galway 1575.3 He was party to an agreement of known as the Galway Compositions between ELIZABETH I's Lord Deputy Sir John Perrott and the chieftains and freeholders of Galway, in which his title to extensive estates in County Galway was thereby confirmed in 1585.3

Sir Francis Blake, 1st Bt.1

     Sir Francis Blake, 1st Bt. was born circa 1709.2 He was the son of Robert Blake and Sarah Blake.1,2 He married Isabel Ayton, daughter of Samuel Ayton, before 1734.2 He died on 29 March 1780 at Tinmouth, England.2 He was buried at Houghton-le-Spring, County Durham, England.2
     He matriculated at Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 1 July 1725.2 In 1745 he took an active part in supporting the Government during the Jacobite Uprising.2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1746.2 He was created 1st Baronet Blake, of Twisel Castle, co. Durham [Great Britain] on 25 May 1774.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
