     Elihu Yale was born on 5 April 1649 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A..² He was the son of David Yale and Ursula Knight.² He died on 8 July 1721 at age 72.²
      He was the benefactor of Yale University.³ He held the office of Governor of Fort St. George, Madras from 8 August 1684 to 26 January 1685.¹

     Commander Henry James Francis Cavendish was born on 17 August 1893.¹ He was the son of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne.¹ He married Dola Frances Dunsmuir, daughter of Hon. James Dunsmuir and Laura Miller Surles, in 1928.¹ He and Dola Frances Dunsmuir were divorced in 1934.¹ He died on 30 June 1956 at age 62, without issue.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. George Sidney Godolphin Cavendish was born on 3 December 1895.¹ He was the son of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne.¹ He married Mary Stuart Wurts, daughter of Charles Stewart Wursts, on 11 January 1933.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Emily Georgiana Harriet Cavendish was born on 22 December 1890.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne.¹ She married Sir Pryse Loveden Saunders-Pryse, 5th Bt. on 17 November 1938.¹ She died on 23 December 1976 at age 86, without issue.¹
      Her married name became Saunders-Pryse.

     Evelyn Alice Beatrix Cavendish was born on 30 July 1892.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne.¹ She married Brigadier James Erskine Stirling, son of Major William Stirling, on 14 July 1924.¹
      Her married name became Stirling.

     Dola Frances Dunsmuir was born on 25 September 1903 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.² She was the daughter of Hon. James Dunsmuir and Laura Miller Surles.^1,3 She married Commander Henry James Francis Cavendish, son of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne, in 1928.¹ She and Commander Henry James Francis Cavendish were divorced in 1934.¹ She died on 9 December 1966 at age 63.¹
      Her married name became Cavendish.

     Sarah Elizabeth Annesley was born on 25 May 1943.¹ She is the daughter of Major William Alan Cecil Annesley and Dorothy Vaughan Yewdall.¹ She married Henry William Peter Thompson in 1962.¹
      From 1962, her married name became Thompson.¹

     Mary Stuart Wurts is the daughter of Charles Stewart Wursts.¹ She married Lt.-Cdr. George Sidney Godolphin Cavendish, son of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne, on 11 January 1933.¹
      Her married name became Cavendish.

     Henry William Peter Thompson married Sarah Elizabeth Annesley, daughter of Major William Alan Cecil Annesley and Dorothy Vaughan Yewdall, in 1962.¹
     He lived at 34 Southern Road, Greystone Park, Harare, Zimbabwe.¹

     Sir Pryse Loveden Saunders-Pryse, 5th Bt. was born on 12 November 1896. He married Emily Georgiana Harriet Cavendish, daughter of Captain Henry Frederick Compton Cavendish and Lady Harriet Castalia Godolphin Osborne, on 17 November 1938.¹ He died on 5 January 1962 at age 65.¹
     He gained the title of 5th Baronet Saunders-Pryse.
