     Jean III de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne was born in 1286.2 He was the son of Arthur II de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne and Yolande de Dreux.1 He married, firstly, Isabelle de Valois in 1297. He married, secondly, Isabel de Castilla, daughter of Sancho IV, Rey de Castilla y León and Maria de Molina, in 1310.2 He married, thirdly, Jeanne de Flandre, daughter of Louis de Flandre, Comte de Nevers, in 1329 at Chartres, France.1 He died circa September 1345.1 He was also reported to have died in 1341.2
     Jean III de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne gained the title of Comte de Montfort.3 Jean III de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne also went by the nick-name of Jean 'the Good'.4 He gained the title of Duc de Bretagne in 1312.1 He gained the title of Duc de Bretagne in 1341.
