     Jean III de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne was born on 8 March 1286.2,3 He was the son of Arthur II de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne and Marie de Limoges.1 He married, firstly, Isabelle de Valois in 1297. He married, secondly, Isabel de Castilla, daughter of Sancho IV, Rey de Castilla y León and Maria de Molina, in 1310.2 He married, thirdly, Giovanna di Savoia, daughter of Edoardo Conte di Savoia and Blanche de Bourgogne, in 1329.3 He died on 30 April 1341 at age 55 at Caen, France, without issue.1,3
     He gained the title of Comte de Montfort.4 Jean III de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne also went by the nick-name of Jean 'the Good'.5 He gained the title of Duc de Bretagne in 1312.1 He gained the title of Duc de Bretagne in 1341.
