     He lived at 2 Buckland Crescent, London, England.2 He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)1

     Brigadier John Lawrence Buxton was born on 1 December 1877.1 He was the son of Francis William Buxton and Hon. Mary Emma Lawrence.2 He married Evelyne Elsye Rynd, daughter of Reverend J. W. Rynd, on 5 February 1916.1 He died on 17 January 1951 at age 73.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was severely wounded.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Battalion, Rifle Brigade.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 In 1929 Aldershot.1 He was Local Brigadier of the Troops of Gibraltar between 1930 and 1931.1 He was Commander of the 144th Gloucestershire and Worcestershire Infantry Brigade between 1931 and 1934.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1933 and 1934.1 He was Equerry to HRH The Duke of Connaught between 1939 and 1940.1

     Hugh Forster Buxton was born on 9 April 1882.1 He was the son of Francis William Buxton and Hon. Mary Emma Lawrence.2 He married Blanche Juliana St. Aubyn, daughter of Major William John St. Aubyn and Sarah Ann Hodgetts, on 6 September 1904.1 He died on 3 November 1916 at age 34, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1
