     Major Sir George Francis Richmond Brown, 5th Bt. was born on 3 February 1938.2 He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Frederick Richmond Brown, 4th Bt. and Audrey Baring.1 He married Philippa Jane Wilcox, daughter of Captain Joseph W. Wilcox, in 1978.2
     Major Sir George Francis Richmond Brown, 5th Bt. was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He held the office of Extra Equerry to HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh between 1961 and 1963.2 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Queensland between 1963 and 1965.2 He was Adjutant of the Welsh Guards between 1966 and 1968.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Welsh Guards.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Brown, of Richmond Hill, Lancashire [U.K., 1863] in July 1995.2 He lived in 2003 at Mas de Sudre, Gaillac, France.2

Sir Charles Frederick Richmond Brown, 4th Bt., son of Frederick Richmond Brown and Anne Luxmoore Lees, on 20 November 1951.1 She and Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Frederick Richmond Brown, 4th Bt. were divorced in 1968.1 She died in 1989.1
     From 20 November 1951, her married name became Brown.1
