Geoffrey Galwey was born on 1 May 1912.1 He is the son of Major William Rickards Galwey and Emily Frances Valentine.1 He married, firstly, Vera May Miller, daughter of Joseph Miller, on 13 July 1940.1 He and Vera May Miller were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Joan Skipsey, daughter of William Skipsey, on 22 March 1951.1
He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 In 1932 he was invalided out of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War in 1940.1 He was a director of Lovel and R. Curtis.1 He lived in 1976 at 123 Portland Road, Kensington, London, England.1
