Lt. Lord Charles Stuart was born on 18 July 1775.1 He was the son of Sir John Stuart, 1st Marquess of the County of Bute and Hon. Charlotte Jane Windsor.1 He died on 11 February 1796 at age 20, lost at sea from the frigate, H.M.S. Leda, near Madeira.1
