     Zachariah Charles Pearson was born in October 1821 at Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Zachariah Pearson and Elizabeth (?).1 He married Mary Ann Coleman.1 He died in 1891 at Kingston-upon-Hull, Yorkshire, England.1
     In 1860 he donated 23 acres for the creation of Pearson Park.1 He held the office of Mayor of Kingston-upon-Hull.1 He was a Master Mariner.1

     Joseph Wontner was born on 26 March 1789 at Morning Lane, Hackney, London, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Wontner and Margaret Lowe.1 He married Emma Christian, daughter of Joseph Christian and Katherine Scales, on 1 February 1827 at St. Andrew's, Plymouth, Devon, England.1 He died on 17 August 1867 at age 78 at Babbacombe, Devon, England.1 He was buried at Abney Park Cemetery, Islington, Middlesex, England.1
     Joseph Wontner became a Freeman of the City of London.1 He was a partner in Thomas Wontner & Sons.1 He became a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers in 1811.1
