     Nora Jane Christian was a nurse and hotel owner.2 Her married name became Mitchell.2 From 1990, her married name became Bishop.2 She was a nurse at Bishop's Court in her early years, then the Norfolk Island Hospital. She lived at Melbourne, Australia, for many years until returning to Norfolk Island in 1965, when she took over as Proprietress of 'Aunt Em's Guest House'. She was known as a wonderful gardener and hostess.2
