     Edward Arthur Alexander Shackleton, Baron Shackleton was born on 15 July 1911.2 He was the son of Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton and Emily Mary Dorman.3 He married Betty Muriel Marguerite Homan, daughter of Charles E. Homan, on 27 April 1938.4 He died on 22 February 1994 at age 82.1
     He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).5 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.).1 He was created Baron Shackleton, of Burley in the County of Hampshire [U.K. Life Peer] on 11 August 1958.1

     Annie Louisa Samantha Matthews is the daughter of James Matthews and Margaret Simpson.1 She married Lewis George FitzMaurice, son of Captain Lewis Roper FitzMaurice and Mary Butler, on 26 August 1891 at St. Paul's Church, Ravenswood, Queensland, Australia.1
      From 26 August 1891, her married name became FitzMaurice.1
