     Lt.-Col. Dudley George Blois was born on 12 February 1875.1 He was the son of Sir John Ralph Blois, 8th Bt. and Eliza Ellen Chapman.1 He married Georgina Isabella Frances Domville, daughter of Admiral Sir Compton Edward Domville, on 28 July 1914.1 He died on 14 July 1916 at age 41, killed in action.1
     Lt.-Col. Dudley George Blois fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1
