     Sir Walter Edward Alpin Blount, 12th Bt. was born on 31 October 1917.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Robert Blount, 11th Bt. and Violet Ellen Fowler.2 He married Eileen Audrey Carritt, daughter of Hugh Blasson Carritt and Audrey Browning, on 25 June 1954.1 He died on 12 December 2004 at age 87.3
     He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, serving in Motor Torpedo Boats.1 He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He graduated from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1943 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a practising solicitor.1 He was a senior partner with Underwood and Company.1 He succeeded to the title of 12th Baronet Blount, of Sodington, co. Worcester [E., 1642] on 21 January 1978.1 He lived in 2003 at Regent House, Seaview, Isle of Wight, England.1 He lived in 2003 at Tilkhurst, Imberhorne Lane, East Grinstead, Sussex, England.1
