     Sir William Blunden, 6th Bt. was born on 26 April 1919.1 He was the son of Sir John Blunden, 5th Bt. and Phyllis Dorothy Creaghe.1 He married Pamela Mary Purser, daughter of John Purser, on 29 September 1945.1 He died in 1985.1
     Sir William Blunden, 6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Blunden, of Castle Blunden, co. Kilkenny [I., 1766] on 28 October 1923.1 He was educated at Repton School, Repton, Derbyshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He retired from the military in 1958.1
