     Henry Irwin Snell was born on 24 August 1895 at Norfolk Island.¹ He is the son of unknown Quintal and Margaret Melissa Snell.¹
     Henry Irwin Snell fought in the First World War, with the 22nd MG Battalion and 17th Infantry Battalion.¹

     Peter John Butler was born at U.S.A.² He married Alice Sophia McCoy, daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian, on 30 November 1875 at Pitcairn Island.¹
     Shipwrecked by the sinking of the Khandeish on 25 Sep 1875, he decided to stay after the remainder of the survivors of that ship had been rescued. In 1878, he and two of the other young men of the island left with Captain Scott on the trading vessel Venus, and he never returned, nor was he ever heard from again.²

     Robert Walter Butler was born on 4 October 1876 at Pitcairn Island.¹ He was the son of Peter John Butler and Alice Sophia McCoy.¹ He was buried on 16 October 1876 at Pitcairn Island.¹

     Mary Ann McCoy was born on 8 January 1851 at Pitcairn Island.¹ She was the daughter of Matthew McCoy and Margaret Christian.¹ She died on 19 August 1937 at age 86 at Pitcairn Island.¹ She was buried on 19 August 1937 at Pitcairn Island.¹
     She was among the first wave of returnees from Norfolk in 1859. She was
listed as the Pitcairn Church Recorder in 1887.
'She was the oldest
woman living on Pitcairn in 1934. She was then living in a three-room
house whose interior was scrupulously neat and clean. As she rose to
greet me, I realized that she was blind. Her blindness was provocative
of an overwhelming tenderness. She moved with such care and gentle
confidence, her aged and wrinkled face was brushed with so tender a
smile, and her appearance of fragility was so poignant that I felt she
was as delicate and precious as ancient porcelain. She was a short
woman, shortened further by a stoop, with soft hands twisted by age.
Her face was rather large, with prominent cheekbones and with a nose
somewhat wide at the nostrils but saved from coarseness by a high
curving bridge. Her forehead was heavy and had a pronounced slope, but
the rugged character of the brow was softened by delicate white hair. I
couldn't see her eyes, which were concealed by a pair of blue
spectacles, but her voice and her smile of chastened patience

     Elizabeth Maud Young was born on 14 November 1858 at Norfolk Island.¹ She was the daughter of William Mayhew Young and Margaret Christian.¹ She died on 7 March 1905 at age 46 at Pitcairn Island.¹

     Ruth Constance Petch was born on 11 July 1898 at Rarotonga, Cook Islands.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Henry Oliver Petch and Elizabeth Maud Young.¹ She married Edgar Charles Alexander Wain between 1917 and 1918 at Auburn, New South Wales, Australia.¹ She died on 28 November 1984 at age 86 at Normanton, Queensland, Australia.¹
     From between 1917 and 1918, her married name became Wain.¹

     Edgar Charles Alexander Wain married Ruth Constance Petch, daughter of Walter Henry Oliver Petch and Elizabeth Maud Young, between 1917 and 1918 at Auburn, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Ruth Bessie Wain was born circa 1926.¹ She is the daughter of Edgar Charles Alexander Wain and Ruth Constance Petch.¹

     Walter John Wain was born circa 1930.¹ He is the son of Edgar Charles Alexander Wain and Ruth Constance Petch.¹
