     Marian Blakiston-Houston was born on 26 November 1905.1 She was the daughter of Richard Blakiston-Houston and Lilian Agnes Kidston.1 She married General Sir Gordon Holmes Alexander MacMillan of MacMillan and Knap, son of Dugald Alexander MacMillan, on 10 August 1929.1 She died on 29 April 1991 at age 85.1
     From 10 August 1929, her married name became MacMillan.1 She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1952.1 She was invested as a Companion, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.).1
