     Dr. Andrew Allardice MacMillan was born on 26 September 1942.1 He is the son of General Sir Gordon Holmes Alexander MacMillan of MacMillan and Knap and Marian Blakiston-Houston.1 He married Roberta Mary Annabel Becher, daughter of Henry Becher, on 1 January 1972.1
     Dr. Andrew Allardice MacMillan was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1964 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago, in 1968 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Agricultural Economics.1 He lived in 2003 at via Ambrogio Travesari 80, Rome, Italy.1 He was director of Field Operations Division, Food and Agriculture Orgamization of the U.N. before 2005.1 He lived in 2007 at Scansano, Italy.2
