     Albert Borrie was born in 1864 at Gateshead, County Durham, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Peter Borrie and Mary Ann Meek.1 He married, firstly, Beatrice Amelia Gertrude Johnson, daughter of John Johnson and Mary Lodge, in 1885.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Frances Maria Raine in 1928 at Norton Roman Catholic Chapel, Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, EnglandG.2 He died on 8 July 1929.2
     He was educated at Stockton Grammar School, Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, EnglandG.1 He was a solicitor with Albert Borrie & Sons between 1888 and 1929 at Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, North Riding, EnglandG.1

     Beatrice Amelia Gertrude Johnson was the daughter of John Johnson and Mary Lodge.1 She married Albert Borrie, son of Peter Borrie and Mary Ann Meek, in 1885.1
     Beatrice Amelia Gertrude Johnson also went by the nick-name of 'The Belle of Linthorpe'.1 From 1885, her married name became Borrie.1
