     Russell Charles Stanhope was the son of Major Hon. Sir Francis Charles Stanhope and Hannah Wilson. He married Ellinor Avena Blackburne, daughter of Colonel John Ireland Blackburne, on 14 December 1854. He died on 15 September 1866.

     Ellinor Avena Blackburne was the daughter of Colonel John Ireland Blackburne. She married Russell Charles Stanhope, son of Major Hon. Sir Francis Charles Stanhope and Hannah Wilson, on 14 December 1854. She died on 27 November 1906.
     Her married name became Stanhope.
