     Amice Ivy Delves Broughton was born on 23 October 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Delves Louis Broughton, 10th Bt. and Mary Evelyn Cotton.¹ She married Sir Frank Todd Spickernell, son of Frank Spickernell and Annie Lewns, on 5 October 1925.¹ She died in 1974.²
     From 5 October 1925, her married name became Spickernell.¹

     Sir Frank Todd Spickernell was born in 1885.² He was the son of Frank Spickernell and Annie Lewns.^1,2 He married Amice Ivy Delves Broughton, daughter of Sir Delves Louis Broughton, 10th Bt. and Mary Evelyn Cotton, on 5 October 1925.¹ He died in 1956.²
     Sir Frank Todd Spickernell gained the rank of Captain (S) in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.).¹

     Annie Lewns married Frank Spickernell in 1885.¹
     From 1885, her married name became Spickernell.¹

     Jane Spickernell was born in 1928.² She was the daughter of Sir Frank Todd Spickernell and Amice Ivy Delves Broughton.¹ She married Sir David Akers-Jones, son of Walter George Jones and Dorothy Akers, on 8 September 1951.³ She died on 6 October 2002.¹
     From 8 September 1951, her married name became Akers-Jones.¹ She was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1988.¹

     Sir David Akers-Jones was born on 14 April 1927.¹ He is the son of Walter George Jones and Dorothy Akers.¹ He married Jane Spickernell, daughter of Sir Frank Todd Spickernell and Amice Ivy Delves Broughton, on 8 September 1951.¹
     Sir David Akers-Jones was baptised with the name of David Jones.¹ He was educated at Worthing High School, Worthing, Sussex, England.¹ He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He was in the Malayan Civil Service between 1954 and 1957.¹ He was Secretary of the New Territories, Hong Kong between 1973 and 1981.¹ He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1978.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1985.¹ He was Acting Governor of Hong Kong between 1986 and 1987.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.) by Kent University, Kent, England, in 1987.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1988.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Social Science (D.S.Sc.) by City University of Kong Kong, Hong Kong, in 1993.¹ He was Hong Kong Affairs Advisor to China between 1993 and 1997.¹ He lived in 2003 at Villa Monte Rosa, Flat 1a, 41a Stubbs Road, Hong Kong.¹
