     Richard Francis Spickernell was born on 29 November 1930.1 He was the son of John Edwin Spickernell and Joan Penelope Boothby.1 He married Elizabeth Charmian Coke, daughter of Major Hon. Richard Coke and Elizabeth Vera Catherine Alice de Beaumont, on 13 February 1960.1 He died on 19 September 2008 at age 77.2
     He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1954 with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).1 He graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1956 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1

     Lt.-Col. Gerald Edward Coke was born on 25 October 1907.2 He was the son of Major Hon. Sir John Spencer Coke and Hon. Dorothy Olive Lawson.2 He married Patricia Cadogan, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Alexander George Montagu Cadogan and Lady Theodosia Louisa Augusta Acheson, on 2 September 1939.1 He died in 1990.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire in 1952.2 He was Governor of the BBC between 1961 and 1966.2 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1967.2
